Click on thumbnails for more information Leather bars, here one day, gone the next. After reading numerous article published in the early 70;s, the lifespan of a gay bar, let alone a leather bar was often short lived. A location could and would change ownership and names several times during the course of a year, sometimes remaining a gay or leather bar, other times becoming a straight bar. Numerous factors played a roll in the frequent changes, which would include police harassment, being arrested on trumped up charges and being outted, numerous attacks and even the murders of the clientele that visited such establishments. Many were not strictly leather bars, but leather friendly. Sometimes, even the time of day would determine which crowd would be present, many patrons moved from bar to bar, seeking the crowd of their choice. I have attempted to gather as much information as possible on these bars. if by some chance, I have made a mistake, please feel free to contact me. In some cases, I may not have much information to view, either because I simply have not uploaded it yet, or have been unable to obtain any information.
